Defiant is a five piece progressive act from western Massachusetts. The writing style is on the heels of greats like Dream Theater, Queensryche, Iron Maiden, and Fates Warning with a serious attitude. If any of these other artists interest you DEFIANT is your ticket. You can currently find DEFIANT's new single "INFECTION" on BigNOISE Records' new compilation "DIGITAL SIDE OF THE MOON - PHASE FOUR". Digital Side of the Moon - Phase Four & Song Slam '98

In April 1998, BigNOISE Records in Providence, RI, released a five CD set called DIGITAL SIDE OF THE MOON. The five discs are of the same title but are catalogged as "Phases" one - five. DEFIANT appears on "Phase Four". The track is "INFECTION" and is about drug addiction, overdose, and the results which can bring any able minded body to their respective knees.For the release, BigNOISE is holding a "Song Slam". Various artists from the discs get together over the course of three Saturdays, May 23, May 30, and June 4. They each play a couple of songs and compete to return June 6 for the "Grand Slam".
